Liu’s HotPot: A Trendy Hot Pot Experience in Sunnyvale

I actually found the food was quite good. Quality and prices were comparable to other big hot pot chains . Service was very good. We came to check out the ambience TBH. The coconut rice is a must try.

We had dinner there on Sunday night for the first time. Las night we went back for dinner at 5:30. We had great time on both nights. Love the atmosphere, the service, the selection of delicious food at very reasonable price. The restaurant facade has the look of a generic Chinese hot pot place with photos of traditional hopot dishes. As soon as we walked in, we were immediately enveloped in the neon glow of cyberpunk aesthetics. My favorite item is "maw". It took me a few minutes of Googling to find out the "maw" on the menu is "fish maw". One of us ordered frog legs and told me it was the best he had had. Premium Kurobuta Pork was great, so was rocket squid, beef tripe, premium black trip, goose intestine, coconut milk rice, fresh dry bean curd. One of us ordered Kumquat cocktail and said it was good. We also ordered stinky Tofu. I was not impressed at all. I will never order Asparagus Fern again because it melted in the boiling soup and became mushy. Last night "Premium Marbled Beef" that we ordered has too much fat in my view. Over all, the combination of cyberpunk decor, great service and the mouthwatering hot pot options transporting us to a futuristic, neon-lit world and making me feel great to be alive.

I do not agree with the reviews saying the food was terrible, I think the hotpot broth was flavorful and the food overall was great! Service was nice and there is a wide variety of drinks and food to choose from. The cyberpunk aesthetic indoors is beautiful as well, there's nothing else like it except Discovery Fusion BBQ (their sister restaurant).

I went here for my birthday, mainly lured in because of the Cyberpunk theme . Was definitely a good experience, plenty of food for the price. We weren't really sure what to order and asked the staff and got a good recommendation. The food was good, the staff was super helpful, and the restaurant itself has a nice theme going. The menu itself is a little lacking on the details but the staff explained everything. Not really sure what some of the other reviews are talking about. It's worth checking out if just for the experience.

The atmosphere is like nothing else! We got the half meat and soup combo. They do not skimp on the meat! Broths are delicious

Very unique vibe, food was also super reasonably priced and pretty good.

Food: the best hot szechuan hot pot I've ever tasted. My fiance was also blown away by it, and he spent his childhood summers eating at fancy restaurants in Hong Kong. The rattan pepper fried chicken was also insane. And the fresh noodles are actually fresh and wonderful. Service: never seen anything like this in my life. The restaurant was PACKED and there was ALWAYS a waiter standing by door anything we needed. There was never an empty water bottle on the table and there was never an empty plate for longer than 20 seconds. The hot pot itself came out in around 5 minutes. Just extraordinary. Atmosphere. Nailed it. The cyberpunk vibe is spot on and the music is just the right vibe and volume that it's not overtaking conversation and nobody has to yell. This is our new favorite restaurant close to our home.
